This is an exciting to time to join the AA’s governing body with the commencement of a new five-year strategy. The strategy will see the school consolidate its international reputation as a leader in the field of architectural education, enhance its resource provision and make it available to a student population who represent a broader spectrum of society. The AA is committed to reinforcing and leading an engaged international and multi-generational community to support, promote and realise the ideas that have the potential to enact real change. Our strategic priorities are securing the AA's future, enabling access, enhancing communication and building community.

Please consider whether joining Council is a way you could contribute to the life of the AA, or encourage others to consider applying. We are looking for two practicing architects with a connection to the AA, whether through membership, education or practice. It is key that the individuals are enthusiastic about the mission and values of the school.

The successful applicants will be a trustee and director of the Architectural Association Inc. The new members of Council will help to represent architectural practice on the board of an institution that is first and foremost a world-class school of architecture and will play a valuable role in shaping its strategic direction. The AA welcomes applications from a diverse range of practising architects including those who are new to practice or under represented within architecture. All applicants should have a demonstrable interest in the relationship between practice and training.
