The AA’s Design Research Lab (DRL) programme has been ranked as the ninth best postgraduate architecture department in the world by the committee of the Best Architecture Masters (BAM) World Ranking of 2022.

The DRL programme, which is led by Theodore Spyropoulos, has been ranked in the top ten for the fifth consecutive year and first among non-university departments. Encompassing 22 Master’s degree courses at institutions across the globe, the BAM ranking is selected through an annual comparative study of architecture graduate programmes and is validated by an expert committee of professors from leading universities.
