A project of the practice of AA Emergent Technologies and Design (EmTech) and Environmental Technical Studies (ETS) tutor Danae Polyviou, formDP, is currently exhibited at the 19th Architecture Venice Biennale 2025. The Anti-Ruin Pavilion is made from discarded 3D-printed marble dust, and was designed by Ozruh, fabricated by Dr Odaglia at ETH Zurich and the structural engineering was completed by formDP.
The stone blocks configuration ensures stability by finding the golden section between centre of mass, overturning moments and aesthetics. The final configuration is post-tensioned to ensure the structural integrity of the cantilevering roof beam.
