AA Head of DRL Theodore Spyropoulos recently participated in the symposium, The Intelligence Age, in Milan, Italy. The talk, which was titled Everything Intelligence explored themes including non-human intelligence, ecology and phenomena as technology. Organised by Elena Manferdini, Tommaso Brighenti and Elvio Manganaro, the symposium brought together leading voices from international institutions to examine the evolving role of AI in architectural education and practice.
The Intelligence Age is a public symposium exploring how artificial intelligence is reshaping architectural pedagogy and practice. The event features a series of thematic duets – paired discussions designed to foster critical dialogue and cross-disciplinary exchange. Participating institutions include SCI-Arc, the University of Florida, IAAC, AA-DRL, ETH Zurich, Pratt Institute, The Bartlett School of Architecture, Università degli Studi di Milano and Politecnico di Milano (host). Their collective presence underscores the global urgency of rethinking design education and professional practice considering AI’s growing impact.
