George Jepson, an AA PhD Candidate, has been awarded the Giles Worsley Rome Fellowship for January–March 2023 at the British School at Rome (BSR). The Fellowship is a research award given for the study of architectural history, and supports its recipient in a three-month study trip to Rome, with exceptional access to the BSR Library and Archive. Jepson was awarded for his project ‘From Rome to Rochdale: The Granary to the Factory’; his PhD thesis at the AA is titled Shining Steel Tempered in the Fire: The Architecture of the Factory, Manchester 1760–1915 .
