As part of the Movement Forum Lisbon Lab, AA PhD candidate Takako Hasegawa will be leading the movement workshop ‘TEXTURES OF GESTURES//MOVEMENT GLOSSARY - Translating Urban Materiality as Vocabulary of the Body’ from Saturday 16 October – Sunday 17 October. Organised by Theatrum Mundi on the platform of Future Architecture’s European Programme 2021, Movement Forum is an international mobile laboratory in London, Paris and Lisbon, focusing on three themes: Power and Gender, Wildness and the Non-Human, and Topographies of Body and Landscape.
The workshop will explore embodied choreography in the interiors of the Palacio and Lisbon’s urban streets through collective reading, listening, walking and dancing. The experience of varying relationships between movement, space and the body will invite critical reflections in the wider consideration of mobility in the city, especially in relation to Lisbon’s topography.
