Oasi dei golosi in Via del commercio, the work of AA tutor Sabrina Morreale as part of Lemonot, has featured in this year’s Festival of Architecture in Rome.
The project consisted of a seven-cone pavilion, each cone differing in height and a iconic gasometer as a background. The high cones acted as lookouts, creating a peculiarly symbolic oasis - a place that can be seen from Piazza del gazometro.
The pavilion was not intended to be a structure to be contemplated, but rather an alive artefact for the people to interact with it. Activities such as lectures, collective gatherings and culinary happenings could take place inside and outside the pavilion until the end of September.
