AA HTS tutor Guillermo Arsuaga and grant writer Sally Stott have written a collaborative fictional theatre piece inspired by the work of César Manrique in Lanzarote. The piece, which has been published in the latest issue of Party Planner, unravels an enchanting world where architecture, fiction and media collide. Guillermo and Sally have used the piece to examine how parties, staging and fun, play key roles in media and image creation in architecture, as well as the built environment.
Party Planner is an annual architecture and design publication that explores the term ‘party’ as a malleable concept that helps to connect what are often seen as disparate forms of gathering and social interaction. Ranging from raves and casual get togethers, to formal performances and galas, attending these dynamic social settings allows for the exploration of architecture as a temporary and responsive mode of space making.
