AA tutor, and head of the AA PhD programme Pier Vittorio Aureli joined the roundtable discussion after Peter Eisenman’s Peter Robert Gwathmey Chair in Architecture and Art Lecture at The Cooper Union on Tuesday 17 November.
In the lecture, titled ‘The Becoming Unmotivated of the Sign’ Eisenman recalled his first visit to Europe in his youth, including the first work by Andrea Palladio he ever saw, the Villa Pisani, Montagnana. Pier Vittorio was joined in the roundtable discussion by Greg Lynn, Preston Scott Cohen and Elisa Iturbe.
