Ann-Sofi Rönnskog and John Palmesino, who run Climate Peace (Diploma 4), have been featured in the Smithsonian Magazine discussing ‘Oceans in Transformation’, their installation at Ocean Space, the gallery based in the former church of San Lorenzo in Venice.

‘Their 30-screen video installation consists of raw oceanographic data—current and historical—that the pair has collected and converted into images. The art piece required collaboration with scientists all over the world, from small labs to large research institutions (including the Smithsonian).’

'Still locked down in Finland, their passion for documenting the anthropocene through the medium of oceanographic data is all-consuming. “It takes up all the time we’re awake,” says Rönnskog.'
