Afterparti, a collective formed from a cohort of New Architecture Writers including AA students Thomas Aquilina and Aoi Phillips, have been featured as part of the Dezeen Virtual Design Festival and the London Festival of Architecture’s series Manifestos: Architecture For a New Generation.

Aquilina commented: "we explore big ideas on contemporary urban space through the lenses of identity and race. We want to tackle the uncomfortable subjects. We think of ourselves, in some ways, as part of the next generation of culture-makers." Afterparti was founded from a cohort of the New Architecture Writers, a free programme that supports emerging black and minority ethnic design writers, who are under-represented across design journalism and curation. The New Architecture Writers programme is currently fundraising to continue their work.
