Bawa’s Garden, a film directed by AA alumna and former Council member Clara Kraft Isono, was recently screened at the RIBA. The film is an experimental documentary shot on location in Sri Lanka, and follows a female protagonist in her search for the ‘lost’ garden of Lunuganga, the work of renowned local architect Geoffrey Bawa. It features interviews with Bawa’s peers and collaborators, revealing the story of his life and work. The film premiered in the UK at the Raindance Film Festival in October 2022, and has been screened in Portugal, the US, Canada and New Zealand.
