Sadar + Vuga, a firm co-founded by Diploma 13 tutor Bostjan Vuga, has won the architectural competition to design the new Faculty of Mechanical Engineering building at the University of Ljubljana. The competition judges described the design as “innovative, attractive, recognizable, modern, but at the same time fully functional and above all justified by implementation.”

The project capitalises on flexible internal organization, with its deep floor plans and horizontal massing, representing a dynamic structure of the horizontal plane, placed at the edge of a new developing technology campus.
