Serie Architects has announced that the practice have completed three projects in the last three months: a contemporary art gallery; and polyclinic; and a school of design.
The Jameel Arts Centre in Dubai opened in December 2018. Including an exhibition space, artist residence and creative enterprise incubator it is the first public gallery in the Arab world dedicated to MENA art. The project has been widely published in the architectural and mainstream press.
The 27,000 square metre Punggol Polyclinic opened in January 2019. The building features retail and community centre and serves the wider Punggol neighbourhood of Singapore.
The new building for the NUS School of Design and Environment was formally opened by the Minister for Finance in February 2019. It is one of the first purpose-built net-zero energy buildings in the tropics. With 8,500 square metres of studio space, workshops and library the building features re-configurable facades and over 1,000 pv cells.
Serie will complete two further buildings this summer: the 120 apartment Carrick House at Royal Wharf on the Thames; and the 25,000 square metre Science Park Drive R&D building in Singapore.
