A number of AA alumni will have their work on display this month at the Fundació Enric Miralles in Barcelona as part of LOOP festival. The films were created within Diploma 16, Laboratory for Sensitive Observers, led last year by tutors Gili Merin, Ila Bêka and Louise Lemoine. Their work will now be an installation in Bêka and Lemoine’s latest large-scale project, Homo Urbanus, which will be on display at the Fundació Enric Miralles from Tuesday 9–Tuesday 30 November.
Homo Urbanus explores the multiple facets of the urban body through film, revealing how much of our bodies are the expression of a constant interweaving of physical, social, cultural and political issues.
Laboratory for Sensitive Observers: Chak Hin Leung, Jugaad (2020), Matthew Ho, Urban Nomadism (2020), Christopher Ioannou, Anatomy of a city (2020), Nikola Miloradovic, Homo Mobilis (2021), Caterina Miralles Tagliabue, Lon(don)liness (2021), Aijie Xiong, A dissolving rurality (2021)
