Alexander Eriksson Furunes’ work for the Philippines Pavilion has received a special mention at the Awards of the 17th International Architecture Exhibition in Venice. Furunes, who is a former AA student, received the special mention in the Golden Lion for Best National Participation category for his collaborative project, Structures of Mutual Support.

Structures of Mutual Support is a critical exploration and enactment of mutual support as a method of architectural praxis that engages with issues of resilience, transformation, climate change, and structures of power and resistance.

The Exhibition is held at La Biennale Di Venezia and is open to the public from Saturday 22 May – Sunday 21 November 2021. Find out more about the Awards here.
