It is with great sadness that we report the death of our former colleague and treasured friend Micki Hawkes, who passed away on Sunday 11 April 2021.

As Assistant to the Chairman, Micki worked at the heart and soul of the Director’s Office over three decades, from 1977–2007. A stalwart of the AA, a mentor to so many and a friend to all, generations of staff, students; graduates and members will remember Micki for her style, presence, wit and humour. She quite simply kept the AA wheels turning in her own inimitable way.

Our deepest sympathies are extended to Micki’s daughter Alison, son Mark and their families. When current circumstances permit, we look forward to inviting them back to the AA for drinks to share the best memories of our dearest friend.
