A new book by AA Council member Susannah Hagan has just been published by Lund Humphries. In Revolution? Architecture and the Anthropocene, Hagan interrogates the approach of the architectural profession and its clients towards environmental issues, asking: ‘architects are trained to think ahead, so how is it that they have failed for fifty years to respond in any meaningful numbers to the environmental abuse that now threatens both culture and nature?’

Susannah Hagan is Emeritus Professor of Architecture at the University of Westminster, London, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA)
