
Hamed is an architect, researcher and educator. He studied architecture in Tehran, holds a Master’s from TU Delft and IUAV, and gained his PhD from the City as a Project programme at the Berlage Institute and TU Delft. Hamed teaches AA Diploma Unit 7 and is Programme Cohead of the Projective Cities MPhil programme at the AA. Hamed’s practice develops research-led curatorial projects, such as Zoe Zenghelis: Fields, Fragments, Fictions for the Carnegie Museum of Art (2022), Revolution Begins at Home for the Sharjah Architecture Triennial (2019) and The Architecture of Fulfilment for the Venice Biennale (2014). Published works include Do You Remember How Perfect Everything Was? The Work of Zoe Zenghelis(2022) and The Elusive Modernist: Gabriel Guevrekian (2020).
