M.M.A. Belo, is recorded as having attended the Hammersmith School of Building and Arts and Crafts, London, c1954, before enrolling at the Architectural Association’s Department of Tropical Architecture in 1955. In the Student Register he is noted as attending part-time, undertaking ‘lectures only’. Following completion of the year, Belo returned to Nigeria and by 1969 was working in the Town Planning Department of the Lagos Executive Development Board.
