Chamlong Yordying gained an architecture diploma in Bangkok and subsequently registered as a post-graduate student in London, within the Architectural Association’s Department of Tropical Architecture course (1957-58). Upon graduation he appears to have returned to Thailand and is recorded working in the Technical Division of the Royal Irrigation Department, Bangkok by 1961. Recognition seems to have come quickly and he was selected as the architect for the Thai national pavilion at the Expo ’67 at Montreal, Canada, at which time he was employed as Architect for the Ministry of Economic Affairs, based in Bangkok.
