Jyotindra Kumbhani is recorded as a student attending ‘lectures only’ on the Architectural Association Department of Tropical Architecture course of 1960-61. Auditing the course meant that Kumbhani was not eligible for a Tropical Certificate upon completion. Little is yet known to us of Kumbhani’s earlier education or subsequent career other than that he entered the UK, from India, as a student in August 1959 and that he died in Northwood, Middlesex, in 2011.
