Adrian Kernisant is recorded as a Haitian student enrolled on the 1964-65 iteration of the postgraduate programme at the Architectural Association’s (AA) Department of Tropical Studies, in London. He took the option of attending the Department’s Educational Building course and upon completion of his studies appears to have immediately moved to Khartoum, Sudan, where he was worked for UNESCO at the Bureau Regional de l'Unesco pour les Constructions Scolaires en Afrique. His research on the development and construction of schools was a major contribution to the ‘Cours sur la Planification de l’Education’ published by UNESCO, in Dakar, in 1966. Details of his subsequent career are not yet known to us but his corresponding address with the AA in 1969, he indicates he continued to work with the Bureau in Khartoum.
