Bruce Archibald Hamilton is recorded as a Trinidadian student enrolled in September 1964 on the postgraduate course run by the Architectural Association’s Department of Tropical Studies, in London. Hamilton was registered on the Department’s ‘General Course’, which he successfully completed in 1965 and was awarded the AA Diploma in Tropical Studies. Prior to the AA Hamilton had gained a Bachelor’s degree at McGill University, in Montreal, Canada. Details of his subsequent career are not yet known to us, beyond the fact that he returned to Trinidad and by 1969 was working in partnership with Hayden Franco as ‘Hamilton and Associates: Architects and Town Planners’.
