R. Soekanto is recorded in the Architectural Association Student Register as enrolling in the Architectural Association’s Department of Tropical Architecture’s (DTA) post-graduate course in 1957-58. In the list of students subsequently recorded in the AA Council Minutes as receiving the DTA Certificate, the name of S. Ranoemihardjo is given. It is likely that there may have been confusion over naming conventions, and this is, in fact, one and the same student. Whilst their name indicates a possible Indonesian background, details of their early education and subsequent career are not yet known to us.
