Mcmullan Studio, a practice run by AA alumnus Andrew Mcmullan (AADipl 2006), has won a competition to develop a masterplan for the area surrounding Skipton Railway Station, Yorkshire, England. The masterplan will better integrate the area around the station into the daily life of the town to create a vibrant and flexible place to work, meet, shop and relax. Mcmullan Studio was selected through a competition held by Craven district council.

Mcmullan commented that: ‘Making Skipton healthier and happier is central to the concept. Improving the town's walkability, enhancing green spaces and building on Skipton's strong community spirit are some areas to be explored during a grassroots consultation with local residents.’

‘The studio is excited to be working again with everyone at Craven District Council and Allies and Morrison to make Skipton one of the healthiest and happiest towns in the Dales.’
