We are pleased to announce that the Architectural Association is collaborating with Open City’s Accelerate programme to offer three free one-day workshops for year 10 and 11 students from under-represented backgrounds interested in exploring architecture or engineering in education.
The first workshop will take place on Saturday 15 October and will explore themes of sustainability in architecture through the current exhibition at the AA; The Future is a Journey to the Past by Mario Cucinella Architects. The workshop will ask participants to respond creatively to the task of building a greener future and will introduce the facilities and expertise of the school.
Details: Saturday 15 October, Architectural Association, Bedford Square, London, 10am–4pm. For more information or to apply, fill out the application form or email siraaj@open-city.org.uk.
Further workshops will take place on Saturday 18 February and Saturday 6 May. More details to follow.
