Jose Alfredo Ramirez, Head of AA Ground Lab, will present the work of the Lab in a lecture at the Instituto de Arquitectura in Buenos Aires, Argentina on Monday 5 June 2023. Ground Lab is a research design initiative at the AA that engages with the planetary environmental crisis facing humanity and how design practices can provide knowledge and expertise to imagine alternative worldviews. The Lab is led by Jose Alfredo Ramirez and Clara Olóriz Sanjuán, and collaborates with UK think tanks and organisations worldwide to visualise and politicise the spatial impact of policymaking, alongside the design of ground techniques that imagine alternatives to standard design practices.
