Following the receipt of the Stephen Lawrence Prize last year, AA alum Clementine Blakemore’s practice, Clementine Blakemore Architects, has been appointed to create a national centre for lowland peat restoration with Poynton Bradbury Architects. The pair of studios were selected out of 90 entrants.
The scheme involves the transformation of the historic barns and farmhouse at Honeygar, near Glastonbury, for Somerset Wildlife Trust. The 81ha former dairy farm will be evolved into a widely recognised hub for research, innovation and collaboration to investigate the protection and restoration of lowland peat habitats.
