Boaz Barkai attended the Architectural Association’s postgraduate course with the Department of Tropical Architecture in 1957-58. He is noted as attending ‘lectures only’ and as a result was not eligible to receive the Tropical Department Certificate upon graduating. Almost immediately after completing his studies, Barkai left the UK for Israel and by 1961 was living in Tel Aviv.
