In 1961 Jose Aguirre is recorded in the Philippine Architecture & Building Journal as one of two employees of the Board of Public Works’ Division of Architecture, in Manila, who were being sent to London to attend the Department of Tropical Studies course at the Architectural Association, London. His attendance on the course and graduation with a Certificate in Tropical Architecture in 1962 is noted in the AA student registers and Council minutes but information regarding his subsequent career is not yet confirmed.
