Nicanor Tabora first registered as a qualified architect in the Philippines, in 1959 and is recorded in The Philippine Architecture and Building Journal as having been elected, in 1961, as ‘Model Employee’ of the Bureau of Public Works for his ‘high efficiency rating, personality and character [and] loyalty to the Service.’ Four years later he enrolled on the six-month, postgraduate ‘Educational Building’ course run by the Architectural Association’s Department of Tropical Studies, in London. He successfully completed the course, graduating in February 1964, but details regarding his subsequent career are not yet known to us.
