Kin-Wang Chan, originally from Hong Kong, undertook his architectural studies at the University of Melbourne, Australia, where he completed his undergraduate degree. In 1965, he advanced his education by enrolling in the General Course at the Department of Tropical Studies at the Architectural Association in London. That same year, Chan was awarded an AA Research Award for his work, A Study of the Effect of Shading Devices on Air Movement under Tropical Conditions. He remained in the United Kingdom until at least the late 1960s, after which he returned to Hong Kong. Details of his subsequent career are not yet known to us.
