Rodney J. Smith entered the Architectural Association, London, as a 4th Year student in 1952.  He returned to the AA in 1955 and as part of his final year of studies, in 1956-57, he took the option of joining the AA’s Department of Tropical Architecture. Details of his subsequent career are not yet known to us beyond the fact that he remained a member of the AA until at least 1974, when he gave a corresponding address in Surrey.
