AA alumnus Calvin Po has been selected for the next cohort of New Architecture Writers (NAW) in 2022.

NAW is a programme intended to help emerging design writers develop journalistic skill, editorial connections and a critical voice. NAW focuses primarily on people of colour who are under-represented across the industry.

Calvin investigates how institutions and protocols can author our built environment as much as architects. His paper on England’s planning system was shortlisted for the RIBA President’s Awards for Research 2021.
