A new art installation by Nerma Cridge entitled Synonym/Antonym can be viewed at the Window at Silver Street, Department of Land Economy, University of Cambridge. This piece consists of a mirror tape installation with printed/laser cut words on both the mirror face side and the backing paper side. Synonyms of the word Window are printed on the front, whilst antonyms are inverted as though being seen in a mirror. The suggestion behind it is that each word is often closely followed by its exact opposite meaning. Each opening leads to an end, each beginning to a closure, in continuous repetition.
With thanks to Angel Fernando Lara Moreira, Head of Digital Prototyping at the Architectural Association and Robert Good and Jonathon Church from Art Language Location for their support.
