U. Tin Aung is recorded as a Burmese student enrolled on the post-graduate course run by the Architectural Association Department of Tropical Architecture, London, in 1960-61. Attending the AA on a British Council scholarship, Aung had previously studied at Nagpur University (now Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University). Details of his subsequent career are not yet known to us, but someone of his name was working as the Burmese foreign correspondent for the Philippine Architecture and Building Journal in 1961.He appears to have been living in Burma in the late 1970s, his address, as provided to the AA Membership Register, being listed as a property in Rangoon.
