K. Kapadia is recorded as a student attending ‘lectures only’ on the Architectural Association Department of Tropical Architecture course of 1960-61. Only auditing the course meant that Kapadia was not eligible for a Tropical Certificate upon completion. Little is yet known to us of Kapadia’s background or subsequent career but it likely that he is the Kersi Kapadia who qualified as an architect in 1961 and is detailed in the RIBA Kalendar as having a practice based in Mumbai’s business district of Nariman Point until at least the late 1990s.
