Hans Matti is recorded as a Swiss student enrolled in the inaugural year of the ‘Educational Building’ course run by the Architectural Association’s Department of Tropical Studies, in London. Matti successfully completed the post-graduate course in 1964 and returned to Switzerland - the AA Membership Register of 1969 giving an address in Rolle. Details of his career are not yet known to us but he appears to have qualified from the architecture section of the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in 1963 and subsequently joined the Faculty and led the design of the ‘Laboratoire d’experimentation Architecturale (LEA)’ at EPFL in the late 1970s.
