Miroslav Konecny is recorded as having started work as a Draughtsman, Grade 2, for the Public Works Department, in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, in November 1957. He was promoted to Architect, Grade 2, in January 1965 and the following year enrolled on the 1966-67 postgraduate ‘Housing Course,’ run by the Architectural Association’s Department of Development and Tropical Studies, in London. He successfully graduated with an postgraduate Diploma in July 1967 and appears to have returned to his role at the Port Moresby Public Works Department. However, details of his subsequent career are not yet known to us beyond the fact that in 1969 his corresponding address is given as Yerronga, Brisbane, Australia.
