Tin Tun Kin [Khin] is recorded as a student from Burma (now Myanmar) enrolled on the 1967-68 postgraduate ‘General Design’ course run by the Architectural Association’s (AA) Department of Development and Tropical Studies, in London. He successfully completed his studies and was formally presented with an AA Diploma in Tropical Studies in July 1968. Tin Tun Khin was amongst the inaugural cohort of students on Rangoon University’s (now University of Yangon) new architecture program, of 1954, graduating in 1958. Amongst his fellow graduates was also U Tun Than, who attended the AA Department of Tropical Studies in 1965-66. Following completion of his studies, and the official presentation of his AA Diploma in July 1968, Tin Tun Khin appears to have immediately returned to Burma, by 1969 working within the Defence Department of the Directorate of Military Engineers in Rangoon, holding the rank of Captain. Further details of his subsequent career are not yet known to us.
