I.H.A. Allawi is recorded as having sat the RIBA Intermediate exam in the UK in 1955 and subsequently enrolled in the Architectural Association’s Department of Tropical Architecture six-month, postgraduate course in 1957. The course was completed and Allawi graduated with a Certificate in Tropical Architecture in 1958. Details of his early education and subsequent career are not yet known to us.
