Frederick Harrington was born in Colchester, England, in 1934. He enrolled as a student on the Architectural Association’s 5 year Diploma course in 1952, graduating in 1957. As part of his final year’s studies, Harrington took the option of joining the AA’s Department of Tropical Architecture course. After leaving the AA Harrington worked initially for Wells and Hickman and then appears to have set up practice in the Colchester area, remaining an AA Member into at least the mid 1970s.
