Crisanto Beltran first registered as a qualified architect in the Philippines in 1949, joining the same year, the newly formed government agency, the ‘People’s Homesite and Housing Corporation’, where he was employed as an Assistant Architect. Crisanto then appears to have risen through the ranks, achieving the grade of Architect in 1953 and Assistant Supervising Architect in 1955. He subsequently enrolled in the six-month, postgraduate course at the Architectural Association’s Department of Tropical Architecture (DTA) in London, in 1957. Following graduation from the DTA course in February 1958, Beltran returned to the Philippines and four years later is noted in the AA Membership Register as living at an address in Lunar Street, Pasig Rizal.
