Safwan I. Sabki is recorded as a Syrian student who attended the post-graduate course at the Architectural Association’s Department of Tropical Studies, in London, as part of the 1963-64 cohort. One of his student projects, for 'High Density Middle Income Housing for Central Bombay’ (designed with AA classmate Syed Hussin bin Abu Bakar Aljoofre) was published in the AA Journal of June 1964. Little is yet known to us regarding Safwan’s background or his subsequent career, other than that he attended Brummana High School, in Lebanon, in the early 1950s, and following graduation from the AA, returned to Syria, where he was recorded in 1969 as living in Damascus.
