Granville Trevor Dodgson was born in Burnley, Lancashire, in 1930 and attended the University of Leeds, where he was awarded a Diploma in Architecture in 1958. Work experience followed with the Leeds practices of Frank Chippendale and of Donald Alexander Fowler. He is recorded as enrolling at the Architectural Association Department of Tropical Architecture, for the 1960-61 session, on the basis of attending ‘lectures only’. Auditing the course in this manner meant that Dodgson was not eligible for a Tropical Certificate upon completion. Details of his subsequent career are not yet known to us.
