Hong Kan Chan was a Singaporean student who entered the Architectural Association’s five-year Diploma course in 1952, graduating with Honours in 1957. As part of his final year’s studies, he chose to join the AA’s Department of Tropical Architecture course. Following the completion of his studies, he is recorded as employed by the Public Works Department in Singapore. Little is known regarding his subsequent career, but he appears to have moved to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia by 1974.
