Myint Thein is recorded as a Burmese student enrolled in 1965-66 on the ‘General Course’ at the Architectural Association’s (AA) Department of Tropical Studies, in London. He appears to have successfully completed the course, with his final thesis project being for a ‘Pre-University Science High School’ in Burma. Myint Thein had been educated at Rangoon University, where the country’s first architecture degree programmed had just opened in 1954. Graduating in 1958 Myint Thein was one of an initial batch of five students to graduate, along with fellow Dept. of Tropical Studies student, Tun Than. Details of Myint Thein’s subsequent career are not yet known to us.
